About Rugtex of Florida, Inc.

Rugtex of Florida, Inc was founded by Juan Pinon. Originally from Cuba, he emigrated to the United States in 1953. Prior to opening Rugtex, he worked for one of the largest carpet companies in the country, “Miami Rug Company”. He started out as a warehouse assistant and worked during his “off” hours as an apprentice installing carpet in Miami Beach hotels during the heydays of the late 50’s and early 60’s. He eventually managed the installers and warehouse, as well as the sales and contract departments. During his 18 years with Miami Rug Company, he became a master installer while demonstrating his natural abilities as a salesman and administrator.

His knowledge and work ethic inspired him to open his own company, Rugtex of Florida, Inc. He has operated his company with honesty and integrity, earning the respect and affection of his employees and customers.

Rugtex of Florida, Inc. first opened to serve the public in 1971 and since then has served the south Florida area from Palm Beach to Key West for over 50 years. During the housing boom of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, Rugtex provided services to ARVIDA Corporation, Lennar Homes, Trafalgar Developers, Porten Sullivan, SHOMA Homes, Century Builders and many others. We are proud of our history and strive to continue serving our community with great service and products.

We treat our clients like family and help them fulfill their expectations of obtaining elegant, durable and comfortable flooring at an affordable price. We are located between the cities of Doral and Miami Springs just east of the Palmetto Expressway off the Northwest 58 Street exit in the “Airport West” area. We currently serve primarily the areas of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties but have been known to stray west as far as Naples, south to the Keys and north into Palm Beaches.
